What Motorfolk's checks mean (and don't)
Badges tell you exactly what was checked and when. Here's what each one covers.
Seller checks
"Business details checked" means a person matched the dealer's company registration and their authority to act for it. It doesn't mean every car is perfect.
"Identity checked" on a private seller means they passed an identity check before publishing. It doesn't tell you anything about the car itself.
Availability
"Availability confirmed today" means the seller or their stock feed told us the car was still for sale today. Dealer cars that aren't confirmed for 72 hours are hidden from search.
Vehicle facts
Every fact in Vehicle Passport shows where it came from (the seller, a data supplier or the MOT record) and when. If two sources disagree, we show both.
